My Experiences
I did a lesson plan involving story telling and the elements of it.I gave each kinderartener their own foldable and using the foldable's flaps they told a story. 1) In the first flap they drew a picture of their character 2) second flap they drew their setting of the story 3) the third flap was the beginning of their story and here is when they began to write their story. 4) the 4th flap the wrote a middle sentence 5) the students wrote their ending sentence 6) went back to each flap, drew a picture for it and colored 7) wrote the title of their story on the top flap
My mentor teacher is April Camillone at Foster Villiage in kindergarten. The routine while I am there is, recess and then back to the classroom for either reading or math stations. Miss Camillone always invites me on to their field trips and lets me do lesson plans whenever I want to.
I also did another lesson called Ladybug Math. I put it in one of their math stations. The students made addition equations with cut out ladybugs, addition signs and equal signs.
